Ministry of National Defense Released a Press Release Explaining the Matter Regarding “Armed Forces Admirals Position Adjustment Plan Approved by the President”. (March 29th, 2019)

Approved by the president, the position adjustment of Armed Forces admirals is as follows:

1. Admiral Wu Wan-Jiao, principal of National Defense University, has served for 3 years and 5 months, and will be transferred to serve as the strategic consultant of the Presidential Palace.

2. Admiral Wang Xin-Long, army commander, has finished his term of office; having served as the administrative deputy minister of the Ministry of National Defense, and the deputy minister of the Personnel Staff Chief Office, he is familiar with the overall education policy and planning of the Armed Forces, hence he will be transferred to serve as the principal of National Defense University.

3. Admiral Chen Bao-Yu, deputy chief of the General Staff Headquarters, MND, has served as the deputy minister of the Joint Operations Training Center, and deputy army commander, who is familiar with the training missions of combat readiness for the Armed Forces, hence he will be transferred to serve as the army commander.

4. Lieutenant General Liu Zhi-Bin, deputy naval commander, graduated from the 1973 class of the R.O.C. Naval Academy and the 1996 class of the War Academy, and comes with an impressive academic and experience resume, including having served important military positions like the chief bodyguard of the Presidential Palace and the commander of the ROC Naval Fleet Command, where he contributed greatly by having conducted significant works including instructing the Navy on various combat readiness training missions and combat readiness planning for army establishment; he will be transferred to serve as the deputy chief executioner of the General Staff Headquarters, MND, and promoted to second class admiral of Navy, in order for him to continue to promote various combat readiness missions of army establishment.

5. The aforementioned personnel transfer will go in effect from April 1st, 2019.
